- Mentoring: focuses on conflict resolution skill building, critical thinking skill building, cause & effect of decision making, life planning and charting.
Community & Social Impact
SW Atlanta has a large number of grandparents raising school aged children. Our program is strategically pinpointing schools in areas where youth being raised by grandparents need additional support to help them adjust to academic and social changes and ensure that they are successful in reaching their full academic potential.
How can this program engage success in the community? There is a definite lack of programs that directly connect to children being raised by grandparents. Our program is dedicated to the success of these young boys and girls as well as supporting their grandparents. We are dedicated to making the change in the lives of our program participates as well as the community at large. Our program helps to foster a great appreciation and respect for others, family and community empowering our young boys and girls to be productive and successful citizens.
