Celebrating our Grandfamilies and Kinship Families

The Annual Lillie’s Foundation GRANDS Appreciation Day celebration was simply amazing! 

Each year we have honored one or Lillie’s Foundation members as our Grandparent of the Year. This year we have not only named a grandparent of the year honoree but our first Caretaker of the Year and we presented the first Lillie’s CARES Champions Award. 

Our honorees this year include: 

Lillie’s CARES Champions: Atlanta City Council Members Andrea Boone, Jason Dozier and Matt Westmoreland 

2024 Caretaker of the Year : Donna Murray 

2024 Grandparent of the Year: Murray Brown

We are so thankful to honor these amazing individuals. Additionally, Ms. Murray Brown is also the oldest grandparent within the foundation celebrating 85 years of life this year. Her great granddaughter she’s raising will be graduating this school year.

We close out the year with our Annual AllenWeen Masquerade Ball, Saturday, October 19th, 6:00 p.m., which is our foundation’s largest fundraiser. This event helps us to raise enough funds to support the grandparents, caretakers and grandchildren in our program. Help us meet our goal this year but purchasing a ticket or donating today.LF4C
