Lillie’s Foundation: Special Announcement

Welcome to September!

Do you know that September is not only home to National Grandparents Day (1st Sunday of September) but it is also home to Grandfamiiles and Kinship Families Awareness Month.

This month we will be bringing awareness to the work of Lillie’s Foundation through our annual celebrations. At our Annual GRANDS Giving Day Brunch, we will be honoring our Grandparents of the Year, Charles and Betty Almond as well as our Caretaker of the Year, Delphine McDonald. 

Charles and Betty Almond reside in Atlanta, Georgia. They are raising their grandson a student in Atlanta Public Schools. Their Love, wisdom and sacrifices have touched the lives of so many through the work in the school, community and their church First Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Delphine McDonald and her husband reside in Atlanta, Georgia. They are raising their grandson a student in Atlanta Public Schools. Ms. Delphine has been a long time member of Lillie’s Foundation. Her faith and dedication have sustained her family and has been a testimony for many others.

Join us in celebrating our 2025 honorees.

We will commence the official events for the 10th Anniversary of Lillie’s Foundation at our Annual GRANDS Appreciation Brunch, Saturday, September 6th; Grandparent’s Day on Sunday, September 7th and our Annual AllenWeen Gala event on Saturday, October 4th, Bluemark Studios, Atlanta, Georgia 6:00 p.m. 

The Annual GRANDS Appreciation Brunch will be held at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church 1730 Hollywood Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318.
